How long does a grooming appointment take?

The duration varies based on your pet's size, coat condition, and the services requested. Small dogs typically take 1-2 hours, medium to large dogs 2-3 hours, and cats 1-3 hours depending on temperament and services. We focus on quality rather than rushing to ensure the best experience for your pet.

What's included in your full grooming service?

Our full grooming service includes a bath with premium shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, breed-specific or custom haircut, ear cleaning, nail trimming, sanitary trim, and anal gland expression (upon request). Each grooming session also includes a basic health check where we look for any skin issues or abnormalities.

Is my pet required to have vaccinations for grooming?

Yes, for the safety of all pets and staff, we require proof of current rabies vaccination for all pets. For dogs, we also recommend (but don't require) DHPP and Bordetella. For cats, we recommend FVRCP. Please let us know if your pet has a medical exemption from vaccinations.

How do you handle anxious or difficult pets?

We take a patient, gentle approach with anxious pets. Our groomers are experienced in handling nervous animals and will take extra time if needed. For extremely anxious pets, we may suggest shorter, more frequent visits to build comfort. We also offer special accommodations like first-morning appointments when the salon is quieter.

Can I stay with my pet during grooming?

For safety reasons and to minimize pet anxiety, we generally don't allow owners to stay during the grooming process. Many pets actually behave better when their owners aren't present. However, for special cases or first-time visits, we may make exceptions. Please discuss any concerns with us ahead of time.

Do you offer any special services for senior pets?

Yes, we provide accommodations for senior pets including extra comfort padding, more frequent breaks, gentle handling techniques, and special shampoos for sensitive senior skin. We understand that older pets may have arthritis or other health concerns and we adjust our grooming approach accordingly.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, all major credit/debit cards, and digital payment services like Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not accept personal checks. Payment is due at the time of service.

What's your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee (50% of the service price) as we reserve dedicated time for your pet. We understand emergencies happen and will waive the fee for genuine emergencies.
