How often should my dog be groomed?
Grooming frequency depends on your dog's breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Generally, dogs with longer coats require grooming every 4-6 weeks, while shorter coats may go 8-12 weeks between grooming sessions. Regular brushing at home between appointments is recommended for all coat types.
Do you groom cats?
Yes! We provide specialized cat grooming services in a calm, stress-free environment. Our groomers are trained in handling cats and understand their unique needs. We offer full grooming packages, lion cuts, mat removal, bathing, and nail trimming specifically for feline clients.
How long does a grooming appointment take?
Because we groom in drop-off order, plan on your pet staying with us for part of the day. Drop off between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, and your pet will be ready by 5:00 pm at the latest. Early drop-offs usually go home earlier. The groom itself depends on your pet's size, coat condition and services: small dogs often take 1-2 hours, medium and large dogs 2-3 hours, and cats 1-3 hours. We will text or email you as soon as your pet is ready.
What's included in your full grooming service?
Our full grooming service includes a bath with premium shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, breed-specific or custom haircut, ear cleaning, nail trimming, sanitary trim, and anal gland expression (upon request). Each grooming session also includes a basic health check where we look for any skin issues or abnormalities.
Is my pet required to have vaccinations for grooming?
Yes. We require proof of a current rabies vaccination for every pet, for the safety of all pets and staff. For dogs, we also recommend (but do not require) DHPP and Bordetella. For cats, we recommend FVRCP.
How do you handle anxious or difficult pets?
We take a patient, gentle approach with anxious pets. Our groomers are experienced in handling nervous animals and will take extra time if needed. For extremely anxious pets, we may suggest shorter, more frequent visits to build comfort. We also offer special accommodations like first-morning appointments when the salon is quieter.
Can I stay with my pet during grooming?
No. For safety, owners cannot stay during the groom. Most pets are calmer and behave better when their owners are not in the room. Tell us about any worries at drop-off, and we will text or email you when your pet is ready to go home.
Do you offer any special services for senior pets?
Yes, we provide accommodations for senior pets including extra comfort padding, more frequent breaks, gentle handling techniques, and special shampoos for sensitive senior skin. We understand that older pets may have arthritis or other health concerns and we adjust our grooming approach accordingly.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit/debit cards, and digital payment services like Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not accept personal checks. Payment is due at the time of service.
What's your cancellation policy?
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged a $35 fee, because we hold that time for your pet. We understand emergencies happen and will waive the fee for a genuine emergency.

How does drop-off and pickup work?
Drop your pet off any time between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. We groom pets in the order they arrive: first in, first out. This keeps the day calm and fair for every pet. The earlier you drop off, the earlier your pet is ready. Every pet is ready by 5:00 pm at the latest. When yours is done, we will text or email you. If we do not hear back, we will give you a call.
